ACCORDING TO THE NATIONAL FOOD CALENDAR, IT’S NATIONAL CORDON BLEU DAY. CAN’T BEAT THAT. CAN’T BEAT THAT. THERE’S EVEN A CORDON BLEU SCHOOL, SEVERAL OF THEM. YES, LE CORDON BLEU SCHOOL. THAT ONE. I RAN ACROSS A RECIPE FOR A CHICKEN CORDON BLEU IN THE SLOW COOKER. WE’RE GOING TO POST THE RECIPE ON OUR FACEBOOK PAGE AND A VIDEO, TOO, TO WALK YOU THROUGH THE STEPS. LET ME SHOW YOU WHAT I DID TO MAKE THIS. THIS IS A ONE POT DEAL, OKAY? ALL IN THE WORLD THAT I DID WAS TAKE A CAN OF CREAM OF CHICKEN SOUP AND ADD A LITTLE MILK. JUST GET THE BOTTOM OF THE CROCK POT JUST A LITTLE WET AND YOU TAKE BONELESS SKINLESS CHICKEN REPLACE THAT, TAKE A CONTAINER OF STOVE TOP STUFFING AND THROW IT OVER THE TOP AND CLOSE THE LID AND I’M TELLING YOU, THAT’S IT. THE CHICKEN, THE HAM, AND IF YOU PUT ALL THESE FLAVORS TOGETHER, HOW CAN YOU MISS? THERE IT IS. AND THIS IS WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE. IT LOOKS AWFULLY GOOD. IT’S NOT GOING TO BE PARTICULARLY CRUNCHY. CORDON BLEU CHEF MAY FROWN AT IT A LITTLE BIT BY IF IT TASTES AS GOOD AS ILL — IT SMELLS, IT’S A WINNER. SO HERE WE GO. NOW, THERE’S HAM IN HERE, I’M SORRY. I’M GOING TO EAT AROUND IT, DON’T WORRY ABOUT IT. GIVE ME A LITTLE CRUNCHY FROM THE TOP THERE. THERE YOU GO. ALL RIGHT. THAT LOOKS PRETTY DOG GONE GOOD, I THINK. I SAY YOU’RE RIGHT. THIS IS THE EASIEST THING OF THE WORLD. ONE POT, STICK IT IN AND WALK AWAY. IF YOU HAVE MORE TIME, TURN IT DOWN AND LEAVE THE HOUSE BUT I THINK THIS LOOKS PRETTY DARN GOOD AND I KNOW ILL SMELLS GREAT. I’M GOING TO TASTE IT. IS IT HOT? IS IT TOO HOT? DO YOU? IT’S ALL CREAMY, IT’S GOT THE CHICKEN FULLY COOKED THROUGH AND I PUT THE WHOLE THING IN HERE. THESE WERE HUGE, BY THE WAY, AND THEY DID COOK THROUGH AND THAT WAS ABOUT 12:30, SO ABOUT 3 HOURS. I BET YOU’RE GOING TO LIKE IT. OH, WOW. MAYBE EVEN CREAM OF MUSHROOM SOUP IN THERE. I ALMOST DID THAT. THAT’S ONE OF THE STANDBYS OF SOUP, CREAM OF CHICKEN, CREAM OF MUSHROOM. OH, THIS IS DELICIOUS. THIS IS LIKE A WINNER, ABSOLUTELY. GOT TO TRY THIS.
