Competitors join pancake race in London to mark Shrove Tuesday


groups of competitors have joined a
pancake race in London where they flip a crate to mark Shrove Tuesday a local
market hosted its annual pancake race on Tuesday where a competitors bred back
and forth along a 20 meter stretch while flipping a pancake at least three times
the winning team was awarded an engraved frying pan
Shrove Tuesday is commonly known as Pancake Day in the UK which is the day
before Ash Wednesday and the first day of the season of Lent in the Christian
calendar
