How to Cook Midwest Chili : Add Wine & Pasta to Midwest Chili

Hi, I’m Matt Senatore on behalf of Expert
Village and today we are going to learn how to make Midwest Chili. Adding the wine to
chili gives it a more robust flavor, and I like to pick a Cabernet. I put about a half
a cup in. It’s just gives it this different taste and it tastes really good. It gives
it a nice little bite. Then add a little bit of minced garlic. Cover it and let it simmer for about a half
hour. So while that’s simmering, let’s boil some pasta so I can show you how to make a
nice pasta dish with a twist later on. Let’s bring some water to a boil, and we are going
to put a little bit of oil in the water so the pasta doesn’t stick. Then a little bit
of salt for a little taste. And then we are going to throw in the pasta. You are going
to let that boil till it’s “albenda”.
