TO THAT, I’M GOING TO ADD HALF A TEASPOON OF CUMIN, BECAUSE I LOVE CUMIN AND I’M GOING TO ADD TWO AND A HALF TABLESPOONS OF CHILI POWDER. SO, WHEN YOU ADD DRY SPICES LIKE THIS, I ALWAYS LIKE TO ADD THEM IN THE BEGINNING, BECAUSE THEY WILL OPEN UP WHEN THEY HIT THAT HOT OIL, AND YOU MAXIMIZE THE FLAVOR. SO, WHENEVER YOU’RE COOKING, ONE OF THE THINGS YOU REALLY WANT TO ALWAYS DO IS MAXIMIZE FLAVOR, SO TO THAT, I LIKE IT A LITTLE BIT ON THE SPICY SIDE. IT GETS BETTER.>>YES.>>IT STILL KEEPS GETTING GOOD, AND THE OTHER THING IS THERE’S SO MANY DIFFERENT WAYS TO MAKE IT, WHICH ACTUALLY BRINGS ME TO A GOOD POINT, CARLA. I AM DOING A CASSEROLE WITH THIS, AND NORMALLY, CHILI, YOU MAKE IN A POT, BUT IF YOU DON’T WANT TO SIMMER ON THE STOVE OR IF YOU DON’T HAVE A SLOW COOKER AT HOME, A FUN WAY TO DO IT IS YOU GET EVERYTHING IN HERE, PUT IT IN MORE OF A CASSEROLE PAN, AND THEN YOU BAKE IT TO REMOVE SOME OF THE MOISTURE AND BUILD UP THE FLAVOR TOO. SO WE’RE GOING TO MAKE THIS CASSEROLE STYLE BECAUSE YOU CAN KIND OF THROW IT IN THE OVEN AND THEN WALK AWAY, WHICH IS A GOOD TIME SAVER.>>IT HAS TO THICKEN. IN ME, IN THE PAST, THEY’VE NEVER CAUSED INFLAMMATION, SO I’M NOT ELIMINATING THEM IN MY DIET. BUT IF YOU’RE DOING AN ELIMINATION DIET AND YOU NOTICE THAT THEY’RE AFFECTING YOU, THEN ELIMINATE THEM.
