How to Make Mushroom Risotto (in a Rice Cooker!)

hi everyone welcome back and today we are making mushroom risotto in a rice cooker so if you’re the kind of person who loves rosado but you don’t love the time-consuming element of it this is perfect for you this risotto tastes delicious but it is a lot quicker and a lot easier to make than traditional risotto and I’m just gonna put it up there before you guys comment but I know that traditional risotto you use like a ladle of stock at a time and that is definitely the correct way to do it I agree whenever I make it I do make it that way but this recipe is just a twist on it and I tried it out a couple times and did my absolute best to make it as close to the original risotto as possible it still does taste a little different but it will satisfy that craving if you are craving risotto as I’m sure a lot of you guys know this recipe is by Tiger and they haven’t sponsored this video but they did want me to tell you guys that this rice cooker is actually going on sale on a February 26 on amazon.com so if you’re thinking about buying this rice cooker now is the perfect time because know it’s on sale so I’ll have a link to the rice cooker in the description box below if you’d like to pick one up and hiker is actually going to have a booth at the international home and housewares show in Chicago from March 5th to the 8th and they are going to be displaying one of my videos there which so I think eyes are printing to go please go and stop by and say hello and tell them at panco bunny sent you it’s so exciting I wish I could go and I’ll have all the info for that in the description box below as well but anyways let’s get started and it makes some risotto so we’re gonna kind of like pre saute some of the things first and this just adds a lot of flavor to the risotto but if you don’t want to do this you don’t have to you can just toss everything into the rice cooker that’s totally fine so if you want to do is melt the butter in a frying pan set to medium heat then add some onions and saute until they’re translucent [Music] add some mushrooms and I use oyster mushrooms and mix well then see the list of salt and pepper and add some white wine and stir to combine to remove about one to two tablespoons of mushrooms and then set those aside for a garnish add some arborio rice and mix until the rice is fully coated in the butter and white wine as arborio rice in the rice that you’re supposed to use for risotto I think there’s another kind as well but anyways so if you’re gonna make this recipe definitely make sure that you are using this kind of rice then quote into the pot of a rice cooker anyone afford enough chicken stock to reach the risotto line on the rice cooker pot close the lid and set to the risotto function and press Start then once the rescue crews finish cooking immediately open the lid and stir the rice and so if you find that there’s auto is a little bit dry or not as creamy as you’d like you can add a little bit more stock and such a little bit and mix it in and see how the rice absorbs it and then you can achieve your desired consistency of risotto with this way I found that doing this really really makes it taste and kind of feel a lot more like traditional risotto rather than just eating it straight out of the rice cooker and add some Parmesan cheese and seasonless long pepper so you want to serve this immediately and so what you want to do is spoon the risotto onto plates and garnish them with the reserved mushrooms some extra Parmesan cheese and fresh parsley and you are telling them that would thank you guys so much for watching I hope you liked this recipe again if you would like a more traditional recipe for making risotto if you would like a more traditional risotto recipe definitely let me know and I can do that for you and I love you guys so much and I will see you next week on Tuesday for any recipe bye [Music]
