How to Slow Cook a Pot Roast : How to Cut Carrots for Making a Pot Roast

Hi, this is Josiah Owen and today we are going
to talk about making pot roast. Now we are going to go over cutting our carrots after
we cleaned them and peel them and take everything off the ends. We are going to go over what
is called a roll cut. You come in, in a 45 degree angle and just cut down. You want to
turn it one more time go in 45 degrees. It is going to be a nice little angle right here.
You don’t want our carrots to to be too big. So we keep turning a quarter of a turn each
time cutting in the exact same angle. Start over with the other 2 remember 45 degree and
a quarter of a turn, 45 degree and a quarter of a turn. You are going to make sure that
you don’t cut through the other angle that you made. This is also good for presentation
for other dishes. You want to do the last one and there you go.
