Ingredients:- Whole garam masala:- Cinamon: 1/2″- 2-3 nos Nutmeg:-1medium size Star anise: 1 pc Big cardamom: 2-3 pcs Mace: 1/2″ – 2-3 pcs Black pepper: 8-10 pcs Small cardamom Cloves: 4-6pcs Red chili powder Salt Oil Clarified butter Yogurt Rose water Kewra water Saffron Garam masala powder Green chili: 8-10 nos Dry red chili:2-3 nos Coriander leaves Onions: 6 pcs Ginger & garlic will be pasted : 2 tbsp Potato & egg: boiled (6+3 pcs or according to requirements) Prick potato & egg with fork Fry boiled potato a little Basmati rice for biryani : 750 gm washed and kept soaked in water for 10- 15 minutes Mutton for biryani: 500gm Put in the mutton all the ingredients as shown Mix the ingredients with mutton The onions will be fried in two parts The part we will add to biryani will be crispy & golden brown in color We have taken 4-5 onions Sliced it longitudinaly Deep fry it in oil Take out the fried onions on the absorbent paper to soak the oil Fry the rest of the onions separately to put in the slow cooker Fried onions are there in the slow cooker & we spread it uniformely Take 6 cups of water in a separate bowl for biryani Put 3-4 cinnamon,1 nutmeg, few small cardamoms 2-3 black cardamom few cloves & microwave it for 10 minutes Then strain the water & put the masalas in a piece of cloth, make a bag and place it in the water in which the rice will be put for cooking. Thus the rice will absorb the aroma of the masala but the whole masala will not stuck in the mouth.rice will be 40% cooked Heat the water put rice and cloth bag of masala in it . The aroma of the masala will mix in the water 2 tbsp salt is added to water to make the rice a little bit salty Rice wil be cooked 40% Rice is done Strain the rice and keep it covered Take out the marinated mutton from fridge We will fry the mutton a little unless it will take a very long time to cook the biryani in slow cooker Put 1 tbsp oil in the pan & fry the mutton for 10 minutes & then cover to cook a little The meat is half done and we open the cover Now we add saffron mixed with milk Add 1 tbsp kewra water Mix the mutton Pour the mutton over the onion spread in the slow cooker Now put one layer of rice over it now put the fried boiled potato over it Spread coriander leaves over the rice Add1/2 tbsp garam masala powder Add 1/2 tbsp clarified butter Add 2 nd layer of rice over it but before that spread fried onions over it Spread saffron mixed with milk so that rice & potato both will catch slight yellow color Now we will add 2nd layer of rice Put boiled eggs over the rice Spread garam masala powder Add clarified butter Add a generous amount of clarified butter to make biryani tasty Add coriander leaves in a large amount The coriander leaves will make the rice beautifully flavoured Add 1 teasp kewra water Add 2 tsp rose water Spread fried onions over it Sprinkle the saffron water over it Cover the slow cooker and the biryani will be cooked in steam inside the cooker Biryani in slow cooker is ready now After opening the cover the smell coming out from biryani is very good & also the color is beautiful The time taken to cook this biryani in the slow cooker is 3 hrs but the time may vary with rice quality The advantage of cooking in slow cooker is that you put the food to be cooked in the cooker & keep it in auto mode & then forget about it. Finish all your work.the cooker will automatically switch off when the food is ready & will keep the food hot for a long hour You will open the lid & use the food when you want & will get the food hot Good Bye
