Peanut Butter Turkey Chili Recipe
Hey guys I’m Alejandra. And I’m Caroline.
And today we’re making Peanut Butter Turkey Chili. This is such a fun recipe if you’ve
got friends coming over or you’ve got a potluck it’s a nice recipe for a crowd. Little bit
spicy, satisfies everyone. So we’ve got a lot of ingredients, but it’s very simple to
make so don’t get overwhelmed. We’ve got some ground turkey, some crushed tomatoes, some
diced tomatoes, a chipotle in adobo sauce, gives it a nice heat, some diced onions,
red bell peppers, bit of oregano, some chili powder, little bit of salt, black pepper,
garlic, we’re using The Bee’s Knees peanut butter, little bit of chicken broth, and some
olive oil. All right, so let’s get started with our chili. Just gonna put a little bit
of oil in the pot. It’s already been heating. All right, so we’ve got some oil in the pan,
and just gonna add our onions. Sizzle. Ooh, nice sizzle! Then peppers. Let these go for about a minute
or two just until they’re a little bit soft. Now we’re gonna add our turkey. Wanna actually
help me hold this bowl? Yeah, sure. Get that all in there. All right, so we’ve browned
the turkey, now we can add the garlic. Now I just like to leave it in there for about
a minute, just until it’s fragrant. If you can really smell it, you’re good to move on
to the next step. Just get that all stirred in. Now we can do our tomatoes. All right.
So both the crushed tomatoes and the diced tomatoes. Gives you a nice variety of texture.
Cool, yeah that’s cool. Yeah. Perfect. Got our chilies here too. Get those in there. I love the chipotles in adobo. Gives it so much great flavor, and you really only need one, gives
it tons of heat but if you like it super spicy feel free to add another. Got some chili powder
here, right? Yes. This is awesome, tons of flavor here. So much good stuff and it’s a
lot of ingredients, but you pretty much just let the pot do the work. That oregano can
go right in. It’s kind of like a one-pot meal. It’s got some veggies in it too, it’s nice.
Oh totally yeah, you can try this on your…on its own. Ok so we can add our peanut butter.
All right. I like that you chose Bee’s Knees. It gives it a little bit of sweetness. It’s
kind of nice with the…with the chili. So just stir that in, let the heat from the tomatoes
just kind of melt the peanut butter so it’s smooth and goes right in. It also kind of
thickens the sauce too. It really does. Delicious! Nice and hearty, awesome for parties. All
right, now if you want to give me that chicken broth. All right. Just gonna pour that in.
It just thins it out a little bit. So we add a teaspoon of salt and a teaspoon of pepper.
So we’re just gonna bring this to a boil and then lower it to a simmer and then just let
it simmer gently for about an hour. You can stir it occasionally, no need to babysit it.
This has been simmering for an hour, it’s thick and it’s delicious. Yes. So amazing,
I’m ready to plate this up. It’d also be really perfect to freeze too probably, right? Oh
my gosh, yeah! This is one of those things you can make a big batch of it on Sunday night…
Ooh I get to top it with…what do we have here? All right, so we’ve got some Greek yogurt,
little bit of sliced scallions. You could use sour cream, but I like the Greek yogurt.
You know we’re using turkey, it’s a little bit lighter. Yeah. It’s a nice touch. So there
you have it: Peanut Butter Turkey Chili. I’m ready to chow down on this turkey chili. Me
too, it smells so good. So great. Oh, that is really nice. All those chilies plus the
peanut butter, but you’re right, Bee’s Knees, it gives it that extra something. A little
