Rava Cake in Pressure Cooker || Without Oven
Take a mixing bowl and add curd. Beat it with a whisker until creamy and make sure that no lumps are formed. Beat it for a minute. Then add ghee/ butter/ vegetable oil. Mix it well. Then add powdered sugar and beat it well. Add sugar powder gradually and mix it. Mix it well. Then add sooji, baking soda, a pinch of salt, and cardamom powder. Mix it well with a beater. Then add half of the tutti-frutti and the remaining are used for garnishing. Then add milk gradually and mix the sooji. Mix it like dosa batter by gradually adding milk. Keep it aside by covering the bowl. Now switch on the stove and place a pressure cooker. Then add salt and spread it evenly. Use sand/ water instead of salt. Then cover the pressure cooker and remove the whistle. Heat the pressure cooker for 10-15 minutes. After 15 minutes remove the plate and add baking powder to the sooji mixture. Mix it well. Then add milk to the sooji and mix it well. Now the batter is ready for the cake preparation. Take a cake tin and then add ghee. Spread it evenly around the tin. Such that the cake won’t stick to the bottom of the tin. Then sprinkle some refined flour on the ghee and remove the extra flour. Refined flour also helps to remove the cake easily without sticking to the tin. Add some tutti-frutti and the prepared cake batter into the tin. Fill 70% of the tin with cake batter and remaining is used for baking the cake. Then tap the tin such that the batter spreads uniformly. Now add remaining tutti-frutti on the top of the batter. Now open the lid and place the tin in the pressure cooker. Then cover the pressure cooker by removing the gasket and whistle. Adjust the flame to low. After 30 minutes remove the lid and check the cake for doneness. The cake was not done. So bake it for another 10 minutes. After 10 minutes check the cake for doneness by inserting a knife. Now the cake is ready. Now switch off the stove and remove the tin from the cooker. Allow it to cool. Demould the cake after cooling. Now cut the cake with a knife Cut the cake as shown in the clipping. Invert the tin on a plate and tap on it. Now the cake is ready Transfer it to a serving plate. Without using oven cake is prepared in the pressure cooker.
