Slow Cooker Salsa Chicken Recipe
This recipe is really easy and I like to make a huge batch of this
in order to use shredded chicken in salads, in sandwiches, or wraps. So give it a try and let me know if you like it. Here is a list of the ingredients. You
can also find the full recipe on my blog. First you’re going to add the diced bell pepper to the bottom of your slow cooker. Next, you’re gonna start layering the
chicken onto the bottom of the slow cooker.
Because there’s so much chicken you’re going to end up with two layers
unless of course your slow cookers a lot bigger than mine. And
then add the spice mix on top of the chicken and then just go ahead and create
another layer. It doesn’t have to be exact because
everythings going to get mixed together at the end anyway. Then just add the salsa on top of the chicken, and make sure that
everything’s covered. Put the lid on it and we’re gonna cook
this on high heat for about two and a half
hours. And then after two and a half hours you
wanna check it and make sure that the chicken is ready to shred. So I’m checking it with a fork and then because it’s ready what you’re
gonna want to do is take the peices out of the slow cooker. Shred them and
then put them back in. That way you can get everything mixed together and then I cook it for the final half hour like this so that the chicken has more of a chance to absorb everything. Once the chicken is done I allow it to cool and then what I like
to do is separate it into individual serving sizes and store it that way. If there’s more
chicken than we can use in a week then I
