To Die For Pot Roast – Instant Pot


Hi everyone, this is stephanie manley with copykat.com today, I’m going to show you how to make but to die for pot roast inside of your instant pot, it’s Amazing you’re gonna turn on your instant pot to saute add a couple tablespoons of vegetable oil and add in Your roast right here. I’m using a chuck roast about 4.5 pounds one package of dry Italian salad dressing mix One package of brown gravy mix and then one package of dry ranch style salad dressing now I know what you’re thinking this has a lot of salt So if you’re in a salt restricted diet pass on this recipe I can’t find equivalents for it And we’re also gonna add one and a half cups of water This recipe is big on flavor it makes an amazing Flavorful craving so to cook it you’re gonna hit your mouth put your instant pot on manual for 60 seconds it defaults to high Now I know you’re gonna Ask it’s a 6 quart instant pot and then what you get is a nice tender roast That has a rich thick creamy gravy You don’t even have to do anything for so if you’re a beginner cook or you just want something this reliable and full of flavor This is a great recipe to try I hope you give it a try be sure to subscribe to my youtube channel here Because I release videos every Sunday and Wednesday and also drop me a comment down below of what you’d like to see next Thanks for watching

    I love this recipe in the slow cooker, and just recently got an Instant Pot. Question, do you saute both sides before adding the dry mixes or do you just saute one side?

    Made this tonight and it was the best roast I have evr made.. I do have two questions though
    1. If I want to throw in Carrots at the end, how long do I need to cook them to be fork tender ( I tried 4 minutes and they were not done enough)

    2. I added all the packets but the gravy was thin, do you have to cook down your gravy to get it thick?

    wow worked great. I was so surprised how tender it turned out. It was not to mush salt even with the gravy, Italian and ranch seasoning. The meet was not overcooked and easy to cut.
